Caroline Zdanowski is a public policy scholar and student leader who is completing her BA and MA at 📝Stanford University University, with concentrations in Urban Policy and the Design of Public Institutions. She has built a strong foundation in applied research as a Student Policy Analyst in both undergraduate and graduate practicums, producing policy briefs on gun violence prevention and energy efficiency legislation for nonprofit and government clients. She has legislative experience from her time as a Legislative Intern for State Senator Catherine Blakespear, where she worked on housing policy and constituent advocacy. As President of Stanford Women in Politics, she led a 16-person executive team, managed a $15,000 annual budget, and oversaw internship programs. While in high school, she organized and led a San Diego youth town hall on gun violence prevention, demonstrating an early ability to convene stakeholders and drive civic dialogue. In recognition of her academic excellence and leadership, she was selected as the student speaker for Stanford’s Public Policy Commencement Ceremony, receiving the program’s Outstanding Undergraduate Award. Caroline is set to graduate in June 2025 and is beginning to explore professional opportunities as she transitions into the job market.
I met Caroline through her father, 📝John Zdanowski, and one of my early visits to the Zdanowski compound coincided with Caroline's 16th birthday gathering. While sneaking back into the kitchen from John's 'Man Cave', I overheard Caroline and friends discussing and contrasting the writings of 📝Henry David Thoreau and 📝Robert Frost. She's a special human, surely bound to create magic.
