John Holman is a 🏷️#founder and 🏷️#investor based in Los Angeles who specializes in private credit and asset-based finance. In April 2024 he founded Madison Heights Capital Advisors, a merchant banking firm that advises high-growth, asset-rich companies on structuring and executing debt and structured-capital financings, and that counsels opportunistic and asset-based credit firms on sourcing and structuring investments. His work concentrates on specialty finance, fintech, and esoteric asset classes across a wide range of deal structures, industries, and geographies.
Holman brings more than fourteen years as an investor and advisor across opportunistic credit and special situations. Before founding Madison Heights, he was a Partner at Architect Capital, where he co-led asset-based financing for high-growth companies in the United States and Latin America, and earlier spent more than five years as a Principal at Victory Park Capital Advisors, sourcing and managing private credit and structured-equity investments across specialty finance, e-commerce, and legal assets. He began his career on the advisory and legal side of restructuring — as a financial restructuring banker at Houlihan Lokey and as a corporate restructuring attorney at Latham & Watkins — and holds a J.D. from the University of Southern California, giving him a combined principal, banking, and legal lens on complex capital needs.
