Mythos

Abacus.AI is a San Francisco AI platform company offering ChatLLM, a $10/user multi-model super-assistant, and DeepAgent, a general-purpose agentic layer for app and workflow building.

Founded in 2019 by Bindu Reddy (CEO, former AWS GM of AI Verticals and Google Apps product lead) and Arvind Sundararajan, the company was originally called RealityEngines.AI before pivoting from pure MLOps into the AI super-assistant category. Its consumer-facing product, ChatLLM Teams, unifies access to twenty-plus frontier models — GPT-5.5, Opus 4.7, Sonnet 4.6, Gemini 3.1 Pro, Grok, DeepSeek, Qwen, and Kimi among them — alongside image generation (Nano Banana Pro, Flux), video generation through Abacus Studio (Sora 2, Veo 3.1, Kling), a coding agent CLI, and built-in DeepAgent access for a single $10 per seat per month.

DeepAgent is the platform's strategic differentiator, marketed as a "vibe coding" agent that builds applications, presentations, dashboards, automations, and full microservices from natural language prompts. It briefly held the No. 1 position on the Terminal Bench leaderboard in late 2025, ahead of 🏷️#claude-code and Codex. The enterprise tier layers on SSO, SOC-2 Type 2, HIPAA compliance, and custom AI brains connected to internal data stores, inheriting the forecasting and personalization engines from the company's earlier 🏷️#mlops platform era.

The company has raised roughly $90M across thirty-plus investors including Eric Schmidt, Tiger Global, Index Ventures, Coatue, and Khosla, employs around 170 people, and claims a customer base exceeding 100,000 including Fortune 500 deployments. Its research lab publishes regularly at NeurIPS, ICML, and ICLR, and has open-sourced models including Smaug-72B, Dracarys, and the Giraffe context-extension work. The platform's core pitch is consolidation — one seat, one credit pool, one interface replacing the ten-tool AI stack — though the credit-metering model has been the most consistent point of user friction, partially resolved by the unlimited Teams plan launched in late 2025.
