Feedly is a cloud-based news aggregator and RSS reader founded in 2008 by Edwin Khodabakchian and operated by DevHD, originally launched as a browser-extension layer on top of Google Reader and now functioning as an independent platform with web, mobile, and team-collaboration products.
The company experienced a step-change in growth in 2013 when Google announced the shutdown of Google Reader; Feedly absorbed a large share of that audience and used the moment to consolidate around its own backend, the Feedly Cloud. Beyond personal news reading, the platform has built a substantial enterprise business around Feedly for Threat Intelligence and Feedly for Market Intelligence — AI-assisted research tools that let security and competitive-intelligence teams monitor curated source sets and surface relevant signals through natural-language alerts. Feedly remains privately held.
