Mythos

Marianne Gagnon is a graphic 🏷️#designer, event planner, project coordinator, 🏷️#artist, and the founder of Dove & Crow Business Services, a business offering project management, grant writing, graphic design, and other services to small non-profit organizations and businesses.

Having lived in a small town for the better part of her twenties, Marianne spent several years learning homesteading skills, connecting with nature and being an active community member. She later redirected her energies towards building community at the municipal level, working for several not-for-profit organizations such as the Lillooet Public Library, the Lillooet Agriculture and Food Society, the Lillooet Regional Invasive Species Society and the Lillooet Learning Communities Society.

Through her role as Literacy Outreach Coordinator, she played an important role in the creation of the Lillooet Community Coordinator position and At the Table Forum which strive to support the non-profit sector, improve efficiency and ressource sharing, and promote volunteerism.

During that time, Marianne also co-founded 100 People Who Care Lillooet, was Treasurer for the board in charge of the local Restorative Justice program, hosted a bi-weekly theatre club and was a long-standing member of the Lillooet Community Choir.

Marianne moved to Vancouver in 2019 to pursue her dream of collective living and community. She helped organize the 2020 Intention Festival and hosted a bi-weekly improv singing group until the COVID-19 Pandemic made it impossible to do so. She now does improv online regularly, is learning to climb and continues to play and nurture relationships whenever possible.

Marianne lives in Vancouver, British-Columbia.
