RankLab was a Los Angeles–based digital marketing and SEO agency, originally a Santa Monica boutique that grew into a national full-service marketing operation in the early 2010s under co-founder Zach Binder (COO) and partner Cynthia Johnson (Director of Marketing), tripling staff and reaching Inc. Magazine's Top 5000 fastest-growing private companies list in 2015.
American Addiction Centers acquired RankLab in July 2015, integrating its team into the larger healthcare-marketing operation. Zach Binder subsequently became VP of Marketing for American Addiction Centers and later moved on to other ventures (most recently WonderKey), and Cynthia Johnson moved on to co-found the personal-brand agency Bell + Ivy (later Ipseity Media) and joined the speaker and author circuit on personal-brand strategy.
