Mythos

Slate Star Codex was a 🏷️#blog by Scott Alexander Siskind, a psychiatrist in 📝San Francisco, CA, covering science, medicine (especially psychiatry), philosophy, politics, and futurism through deep, nuanced analysis of complex topics. The blog ran for over a decade before ending in 2020, when it moved to Astral Codex Ten. Scott Alexander's rationalist writing, influenced by his work on 📝LessWrong, became highly influential in the rationalist community for its careful examination of controversial ideas and its ability to explore multiple perspectives on difficult questions.

I was introduced to Slate Star Codex by 📝Nick Barone who, first, gave me a compelling synopsis of the terror that is Shiri's Scissor; his way of warning me about one of 📝BrianBot's darker futures.
