Matthew Kaner is a 🏷️#sommelier, consultant, journalist, and marketing expert based in 📝Los Angeles, CA. With over two decades of experience in the wine industry, he began his career at Wine Cask Wine Store in Santa Barbara and later managed Silverlake Wine. In 2010, he co-founded Bar Covell in Los Feliz, known for its conversational approach to wine selection and extensive by-the-glass program. Kaner has been recognized by Food & Wine Magazine as one of the Sommeliers of the Year (2013) and included in Wine Enthusiast Magazine’s 40 Under 40 Tastemakers (2019). He co-founded Augustine Wine Bar, contributed to Men’s Journal as a wine correspondent, and currently leads Will Travel For Wine, Inc. Kaner has also hosted and produced content for SOMM TV, earning a James Beard Media Award nomination for “Sparklers.”
