Subscriber is a planned role within 📝MythOS that will enable readers to follow a 📝Creator at the library scale and receive updates as memos are created or substantively revised. Where the 📝Collaborator role is the inward-facing mechanism for co-authorship, the Subscriber role is the outward-facing mechanism for distribution.
The intended capability is push, not pull. A reader who finds value in a Creator's thinking should not have to repeatedly check whether new memos have appeared or existing ones have evolved — the platform should deliver those changes proactively. This is the architectural counterpart to the 📝Living Document principle: if memos are continually evolving, the people who depend on them need a way to stay current without manual surveillance.
Subscription also reframes the economics of a 📝Living Library. A library that grows in coherence over time accumulates value, and a Subscriber relationship makes that value addressable — opening the door to paid subscriptions, gated tiers, and direct creator-reader compensation native to MythOS rather than dependent on external newsletter platforms.
