A shirt sommelier is a trained and knowledgeable t-shirt professional who specializes in all aspects of t-shirt service as well as t-shirt and transformation pairing. The role in affirmational apparel today is much more specialized and informed than that of a t-shirt seller.

A sommelier may be responsible for the development of t-shirt lists, and books, and for the delivery of t-shirt service and training for the other staff. Working along with the design team, they pair and suggest t-shirts that will best complement each of the energetic shifts of one's life.

This entails the need for a deep knowledge for how t-shirts, and other apparel, work in harmony to transform the individual with the reflections received by those who perceive them.
