Mythos

Kibu is a 🏷️#mobile-app and security protocol designed to protect mission-critical authorization workflows, information, and conversations from both internal and external threats. By leveraging real-world trust, Kibu enables organizations to reduce risks such as data leaks, phishing attempts, credential-based attacks, and deepfakes. A central feature of the system is Kibu Pods—private, end-to-end encrypted spaces where members verify each other before making decisions, exchanging documents, or approving transactions. Unlike traditional systems that depend on email addresses or phone numbers, Kibu relies on biometric authentication and human verification for identity assurance. Its security measures include screenshot notifications, screen recording prevention, and mandatory group voting to authorize sensitive actions. The platform has gained visibility following controversies such as “📝Signalgate,” with coverage in outlets including Axios, POLITICO Pro, and a CyberScoop op-ed by CEO 📝Ari Andersen, reflecting broader concerns about secure and verifiable communication infrastructure.

I know Kibu through it's co-founder, Ari. I've been following his journey and Kibu's genesis since her interviewed internet pioneer 📝Judy Estrin on his 📝Millennials Don't Suck podcast. He asked her what founders of the future need to know and she replied, "📝Scale down for trust, interconnect for power" This was the seed that would ultimately become Kibu.

Watching Ari move into the world of digital security during a time when trust feels scarce has been personally meaningful. For me, Kibu represents more than a technical solution—it feels like an attempt to ground digital trust in human relationships and collective accountability.
