Mythos

Benjamin Levy is a 🏷️#choreographer and dance artist who founded the San Francisco company LEVYdance in 2002, after earning a BA in dance from the University of 📝California, Berkeley and performing with the Joe Goode Performance Group. In 2004 Dance Magazine named him to its "25 to Watch" list and the San Francisco Bay Guardian awarded him a Goldie for Outstanding Artistic Achievement. His choreographic work is publicly characterized by an interest in physical intimacy, contact, and the drama of interpersonal proximity.

Levy is billed as the facilitator of 📝PleasurePlay, a guided-movement playshop produced by 📝Mystery Temple in 📝Los Angeles, CA. The event listing describes him as a "Choreographer, Embodiment Facilitator, and Intimacy 📝Catalyst" and as the event's "Chemistry Choreographer," cites the Dance Magazine honor — rendered there as "Top 25 Artists to Watch" — and describes his creations as "athletic and lyrical, brainy and sexy," a quotation the listing does not attribute to a source. His bio in that listing closes on the line "Step in. Strip away. Reclaim."

Levy entered my awareness in July 2026 by way of a 📝Mystery Temple event listing. I have no personal experience of his work and no relationship with him, but I do question his associations with 📝Yossef Sagi.
